dc.description.abstractBackground: diarrhea still one of the leading causes of death in around the world in allage esspesially for children and toddlers. Objective: The aim of this study is to determine relationship of environmental factors andthe educational level of mother with diarrhea incidence to children under five at muara beloan village muara pahu subdistrict kutai barat regency 2014. Methods: This study used a descriptive correlation design. With total Sampling technique,with total sample of 58 respondents. Techniques of data collection using questionnaires. Results: The results of this study are mostly mother has a low level of education aboutthe provision of complementary feeding as many as 39 respondents (67.2%), and the high one is 19 respondents (32.8%). For respondents who lives in good environment has 29 respondents (50.0%) and the bad one is dan 29 respondents (50.0%). For diarrhea incidence, 40 child under five (69.0%) has get diarrhea, and 18 child under five (31.0%) not yet. Chi square test for relationship of environment factor with diarrhea incidence, p value result is 0,001 (<0.05), so Ha accepted that mean there are have relationship of environment factor with diarrhea incidence with OR value 0.137. And chi square test for relationship of educational level of mother with diarrhea incidence, p value result is 0,013 001 (<0.05) with OR value 0.232, so Ha accepted that mean there are have relationship of educational level of mother with diarrhea incidence incidence to children under five at muara beloan village muara pahu subdistrict kutai barat regency 2014. Conclusion: The most respondents who have good education level and live in goodenvironments, they child never get dhiarrhea in last 6 months.id_ID
