dc.description.abstractFenomena femicide merupakan salah satu isu feminisme yang jarang dibahas di dalam konstelasi ilmu hubungan internasional. Padahal, femicide merupakan permasalahan serius karena memberikan ancaman tersendiri bagi kelangsungan hidup kaum perempuan di dunia. Secara umum, femicide adalah pembunuhan yang dilakukan oleh laki-laki terhadap perempuan yang berkaitan dengan kebencian lakilaki pada gender perempuan. Femicide dengan tingkat intensitas yang tinggi terjadi di kawasan Amerika Latin, terutama di negara Honduras dan El Salvador. Sebagai organisasi yang mengurusi masalah hak asasi manusia di kawasan Amerika Latin, Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) memiliki otoritas dan tanggung jawab dalam mengawasi dan mencarikan solusi bagi negara-negara anggotanya dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang sedang dihadapi. Strategi IACHR berperan penting dan dibutuhkan untuk menanggulangi tingginya aktifitas femicide yang terjadi Honduras dan El Salvador. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan informasi secara rinci mengenai femicide sebagai isu penting dalam feminisme, serta menganalisis peran strategi sistem Transnational Advocacy Network (TAN) yang dapat digunakan sebagai solusi terhadap kasus femicide. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan mengacu pada penggunaan strategi sistem TAN berupa information politics, symbolic politics, dan leverage politics. Hasil penelitian menyatakan ternyata strategi IACHR tidak efektif dalam merespon femicide yang terjadi Honduras dan El Salvador karena proses monitoring yang dilakukan IACHR belum memberikan dampak yang signifikan untuk mengurangi kasus femicide. Oleh sebab itu, rekomendasi penggunaan strategi sistem TAN dapat diimplementasikan IACHR sebagai strategi pendukung dalam memperkuat gerakan anti femicide di Honduras dan El Salvador.
