dc.description.abstractBRI (Belt and Road Initiative) yang diluncurkan Tiongkok pada 2013 bertujuan untuk memperluas pengaruhnya lewat pembangunan infrastruktur global. Italia menjadi salah satu negara Eropa pertama yang bergabung pada 2019 dengan harapan mendapatkan manfaat ekonomi. Namun, pada 2023, Italia memutuskan untuk menarik diri dari BRI. Hal ini menimbulkan ketertarikan untuk memahami alasan di balik perubahan kebijakan tersebut. Italia awalnya bergabung untuk mengatasi masalah ekonomi domestiknya, tetapi keputusan untuk keluar dipengaruhi oleh ketidakpuasan terhadap hasil ekonomi, perubahan prioritas politik internasional, dan tekanan dari Uni Eropa serta Amerika Serikat, terutama di bawah pemerintahan Giorgia Meloni. Perdebatan utama terletak pada seberapa besar pengaruh faktor internal seperti kondisi ekonomi dan internal politik dibandingkan dengan faktor eksternal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kebijakan Italia terhadap pemutusan kerjasama BRI dengan Tiongkok. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis studi kasus, mengumpulkan data dari literatur berupa buku, jurnal, berita, dan webiste. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keputusan Italia dipengaruhi oleh kombinasi faktor internal dan eksternal yang tidak dapat dipisahkan, berdampak pada hubungan internasional dan strategi Tiongkok. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi peneliti dan praktisi tentang dinamika pengambilan keputusan kebijakan luar negeri dalam konteks kerjasama ekonomi global. Keterbatasan penelitian ini meliputi fokus pada aspek ekonomi dan politik tanpa mengulas faktor sosial atau perspektif Tiongkok secara mendalam.id_ID
