dc.description.abstractKerja sama antara Cina dan Zimbabwe telah berkembang pesat dalam beberapa dekade terakhir, terutama dalam bidang infrastruktur. Dengan adanya kerja sama ini, Cina ingin membantu untuk mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi di negara-negara berkembang dan membantu perkembangan infrastruktur. Cina merupakan representasi dari negara Core, yang memiliki banyak keunggulan diberbagai bidang. Sedangkan Zimbabwe merupakan representasi negara periphery, dengan kekayaan alam yang melimpah tetapi untuk pengembangan dibidang tersebut masih memerlukan pendanaan. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian eksplanatif kualitatif dan pendekatan teori ketergantungan serta konsep debt-trap, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana keterlibatan ekonomi Cina di kawasan Afrika selatan khususnya Zimbabwe. Hasil dari penelitian ini, menunjukkan hubungan antara negara maju dan negara berkembang menghasilkan ketergantungan ekonomi, Zimbabwe dengan ekonominya yang lemah rentan terhadap jebakan utang dari pinjaman- pinjaman Cina. Meskipun investasi Cina memberikan manfaat langsung, investasi ini juga membawa resiko besar terhadap kemandirian dan stabilitas ekonomi Zimbabwe karena dampak jangka panjang dari ketergantungan ekonomi dan debt-trap.id_ID
