DEHUMANISASI WARGA PALESTINA: ANALISIS GOVERNMENTALITAS FOUCAULT

Abstract

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict following the Hamas attack on October 7 2023 which caused many casualties due to Israel’s counterattack on Palestine caused various sympathy from the international community in cyberspace. In contrast to this, there is a lot of hate speech on social media carried out by Israelis against Palestinians. The purpose of this research is to determine the efforts made by Israeli government toestablish control and order in Israeli society through governmrnt tactics. And the doctrinal efforts carried out by Israeli government towards its citizens have caused Israeli citizens to hate Palestinians. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods and literatur studies as data collection methods. This research found that Israel’s doctrination with a discourse of dehumanizing Palestinians succeeded in making Israelis hate Palestinians. The doctrination efforts carried out by the Israeli government towards its citizens can be seen from several mechanisms, namely thourgh doctrination and the formation of discourse, fostering a sense of nationalism through military conscription and other instrumens.
