Abstract
Code switching is common activity that occurs in English Teaching Learning. In this research the researchers wanted to find the types of code switching that occur in the class. The purpose of this study was to describe the types of code switching that occur between students with students in the classroom so that it was found were the types of code switching that occur in the English classroom. The research used recording and note-taking to collect the data. The subjects in this study were 6 students in class XI Accounting at SMK N 4 Samarinda. The results of the research that the researcher got were the types of code switching that were often used by students in the classroom were tag switching as many as 4 people with a percentage of 66.7%, inter-sentential as many as 3 people with a percentage of 50%, and intra-sentential as many as 3 people with a percentage of 50%.
